Inzenius: Simplifying Payroll Processing

CIO VendorRussell Bode, CEO
In the past in Australia, there have been multiple cases of employers deliberately or inadvertently underpaying employees though in accurate or false timesheet data provided by their business units to payroll.

Corporations, their management and directors are now being pursued for underpayment of wages together with substantial financial penalties and reputation damage. In the past three years in Australia alone, over $20 million of claims have been investigated often leading to back payments and fines being prosecuted. Reputable corporations are looking for solutions to reduce their exposure to such reputation and financial risk in their businesses.

Inzenius, as a service partner has worked with the Fujitsu team to leverage their Vein Reader technology, PalmSecure as a component of the Inzenius Time & Attendance and payroll processes. “This led to the Fujitsu team identifying Inzenius as one of the best of breed employee service application partners,” asserts Russell Bode, CEO of Inzenius.

The company’s offerings include employee data base, rostering, time & attendance system and hardware, award interpreter, payroll production, electronic processing, general ledger export, and flexible reporting and dashboards.

Their payroll services are scalable to a large number of employee rosters and timesheets that can be accessed as a cloud web application. Furthermore, with pre-payroll commit reports companies can identify missing critical payroll data such as Tax File Number (TFN) and Bank details and missing approved and employee agreed timesheets before initiating the payroll process.

Inzenius builds a simple rostering process that assists in reducing the time and effort in matching roster to the business needs for each shift with automated payroll

For managing the employee shifts, Inzenius confers a simple rostering process that assists in reducing the time and effort in matching roster to the business needs for each shift. The time and attendance device includes kiosk clocks with employee sign off, with Palm Vein single process reader to log time and attendance details. These devices reduce the possibilities of errors and omissions that could lead to future claims of underpayment.

Inzenius, with its efficient payroll process caters to over 375 clients across Australia and New Zealand. Illustrating one of the projects, Bode talks about their association with Menzies International, a cleaning and property service company with over 4,000 employees across hundreds of Australian sites that was facing issues in managing payroll in compliance with the government legislation. The company was looking for a solution that could manage the shift timings of its employees with a secure and flexible employee ID management processes. With integrated rostering, cost planning, and payroll processing software, Inzenius helped the property services company to attain secure and flexible employee attendance management. The timesheet comparison of recorded roster time helped the site supervisors provide accurate work times authorization, pay roll interpretation and processing. Leveraging Fujitsu PalmSecure, Menzies International could efficiently manage time sheets of its 4000 clients’ employees in the most accurate manner. Some of the other prominent customers of Inzenius that have gained significantly with Inzenius’ services include Langham Hotel and Redrock Leisure and Chandler Macleod.

To further increase the capabilities of the timesheet process, the firm has released an automated billable invoice creator from the authorized employee times with pricing for each activity invoicing. Inzenius has developed many other bespoke customer valued new features such as its demand built rostering and the ‘Fujitsu Vein Reader’ technology that eliminates the bugs inherent in error-prone finger print readers. “Working on the same lines, we are leveraging the power of AI tools to be predictive of employees’ needs based on the historic trading data,” concludes Bode.
